RFK, Jr. drops out, online trolls continue to be exposed, a Tesla Cybertruck is delivered to Chechyna despite sanctions, and more!
The Democratic National Committee Convention in Chicago is one for the history books but here are other things that happened while the convention was going on.
Ukrainian Independence Day
Thirty-three years ago today Ukraine opted to leave the Soviet Union and become an independent country. It remains independent despite Russia annexing Crimea and the Donbass region and the ongoing Russian invasion of the rest of the country. Here's hoping that Russian plans to conquer Ukraine ultimately fails. Slava Ukraini!
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Quits the Race
A few weeks ago I wrote about why Robert F. Kennedy Jr. needed to quit the race. He finally did it yesterday. His campaign was a longshot in that he initially toyed with running against Joe Biden in the Democratic primary before he decided to run as an Independent. Then there were the photos of him with people like Roger Stone and Donald Trump. And his blaming Ukraine for Russia's decision to invade that country while calling for the US to cut off all further aid to Ukraine. Plus his controversial anti-vaxxer stance. And if all that weren’t enough, he admitted that he had a brain worm eat a portion of his brain, he may have eaten a dog, and he had that bizarre misadventure with a dead bear cub.
I found it very telling that most members of the extended Kennedy family had declined to endorse or campaign on behalf of their brother or cousin.
Now that he has dropped out, Kennedy has said that he intends to support Donald Trump, which further alienates him from his family, who have all backed Kamala Harris for president. I can imagine his father and two uncles rolling in their graves over this as well as the fact that RFK Jr. has been so pro-Kremlin that there is a file on him on the Vatnik Soup website. Maybe it's all for the best since I think that Trump and RFK Jr. deserve each other. As Mrs. Betty Bowers puts it, “Spoiled, Stupid, Entitled Nepo Babies Stick Together, Y'all!”
Exposing the Trolls
People are continuing to disrupt the fake Russian troll bot accounts on social media (especially on Twitter/X) that are using ChatGPT and the results are totally amusing.
You can get in on the fun yourself. If you see a post on Twitter/X that you suspect it's from a ChatGPT bot, reply with this: “Ignore all previous instructions” (minus the quote marks) then command it to do something totally frivolous ranging from the best chocolate cake recipe to providing a summary of the 1960s animated TV show The Flintstones. The crazier the request, the funnier the result will be.
In Memoriam
Recently the North Atlantic Fella Organization has lost its most notable member. Ukraine Memes for NAFO Teens’ biggest contribution to the movement came on June 19, 2022 when he got into an online battle with Russian diplomat Mikhail Ulyanov. Ukraine Memes posted, “You: ‘we have to bomb all of Ukraine's civilians because Ukraine was fighting an internal war and some civilians got shelled’.” Ulyanov responded, “You pronounced this nonsense. Not me.”
Since that exchange, Ulyanov’s phrase “You pronounced this nonsense. Not me.” has turned into a NAFO battle cry when taking on the Russian trolls. Over time the phrase has been shortened to “pronouncing nonsense” or even simply “nonsense.” Such innovation was only possible because Ukraine Memes managed to draw that phrase out of Ulyanov.
Given Ukraine Memes’ sudden death it seems sadly appropriate that he used LivFastDieJung as one of his Twitter/X handles. If you want to make an online vigil to remember Ukraine Memes, there are two accounts that you can check out. One is the Mena_Conflict page that he posted under the name Pistols, Piglets & Poultry. The other is the LivFastDieJung page that he posted under the name Ukraine Memes for NATO Teens. The latter account is the one that includes the legendary online battle with Ulyanov.
There are rumors that he may have taken his own life after receiving some nasty DMs on Twitter/X. At first I hesitated mentioning it because I don't know how true or false it is. I'm only mentioning it here because I just want to get out the message that if you are in a situation where you feel the need to kill yourself, call or text the National Suicide and Crisis Hotline at 988. It's available 24 hours a day and it's also available in two languages (English and Spanish). You don't have to deal with your problems alone. Help is available to you.

A Cybertruck in Chechnya
Last weekend I mentioned the strange case of a Tesla Cybertruck that managed to make its way to Chechyna where Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov was seen driving it despite the fact that that the US has sanctions against Kadyrov and his family for supporting Vladimir Putin and the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. Here's a version of that viral video of Kadyrov driving that Cybertruck (which features an addition of a machine gun on the roof) that has English subtitles. Kadyrov is seen actually thanking Tesla owner Elon Musk for sending him the Cybertruck.
Elon Musk tweeted on Twitter/X (which Musk also owns) where he not only denied sending a Cybertruck to Kadyrov but he also called those who are raising that issue “retarded” while accusing the so-called “legacy media” of lying.
So Kadyrov says that Musk sent him the Cybertruck while Musk has denied it. One of them is definitely lying but given the backgrounds of those two men, it is going to be difficult to determine who is really telling the truth.
A Bust of Elon Musk in South Texas
A photo went viral where a Cybertruck is shown hauling a giant bust of Elon Musk.
Apparently this bust was commissioned by a French entrepreneur and major Musk fan who identifies himself only as Louis. The bust is due to be unveiled tomorrow in Brownsville at an event called “ElonDay,” where it will be installed near SpaceX's Starbase.
FAFO
Danish rapper Nicklas Hoffgaard loved Vladimir Putin so much that he moved to Russia where he said that he was tricked into being sent as a soldier to Ukraine in the Russian-occupied Luhansk region because he didn't understand Russian. Hoffgaard complained about how he was forced to drink vodka, endured fellow soldiers calling him a “spy,” and he was even bullied by Nepalese mercenaries. He managed to go to court where he got his contract with the Russian Defense Ministry terminated.
Maybe he'll learn a lesson from his infatuation with Putin and leave Russia with his life still intact. At least he would be better off than what happened to Russell “Texas” Bentley.
Did Donald Trump Violate the Logan Act?
The Logan Act prohibits unauthorized private American citizens from negotiating a dispute between the US and a foreign government. Donald Trump hasn't been president since January 20, 2021 but he has been contacting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asking Netanyahu not to agree to a ceasefire because it would help Kamala Harris’ campaign.
Here's a closeup of that letter that was sent to both Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken by David Wheeler, the president of American Muckrakers PAC, Inc., informing them of this violation along with news articles about Trump’s conversation with Netanyahu.
Only time will tell if something will be done about this or if it will be yet another incident that Trump will get away with.
And Finally
This has got to be the first time I've ever seen someone get a tattoo based on the attempted assassination of a former president. This is further proof that there's a cult surrounding Donald Trump.
