A Comedy Video From Ukraine About President Zelenskyy, President Biden, and ex-President Trump

Last week Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in the US visiting President Joe Biden, Vice President and current presidential candidate Kamala Harris, and ex-President who wants to be President again Donald Trump. This week there's this video from Ukraine poking fun at the visit, especially at Trump. Let's just say that they are far less polite towards Trump than President Zelenskyy was during his visit with that orange-skinned man. The show, whose title Google translates as Burning News, has a similar format to The Daily Show where comedians provide a humorous take on the news. The most interesting thing is that Burning News is put out by the production company Kvartal 95, which was co-founded by Volodymyr Zelenskyy and it was also the one that was behind the hit political satire series Servant of the People (which Zelenskyy starred in). The video is in Ukrainian. In order to get English subtitles you have to first press the “CC” (Closed Caption) button on the screen, which brings up the Ukrainian captions. Then press the gear-shaped icon on the screen to access the Settings menu. Then select “CC Captions Ukrainian (auto-generated),” which brings up another menu. Select “Auto-Translate” then “English.”

Donald Trump's Latest Merch

With gold sneakers, Bibles, cryptocurrency, and silver coins, Donald Trump is definitely trying to fleece as much money from his most fanatical MAGA supporters as possible before the November election. You can now add Trump watches to the pile of tacky merchandise that he's trying to hawk.

The prices of these watches start at $499 and they go all the way up to $100,000 for a limited edition gold watch known as the Trump Victory Tourbillion (only 147 of them are available). There is speculation that the $100,000 watch may be some kind of a money laundering operation that's designed to get around the $3,300 per person political campaign donation limit. Former Representative Adam Kinzinger thinks that it's just that.

Dante Atkins goes even further saying that a Saudi or Russian billionaire can just buy a bunch of the $100,000 watches and Trump can put that money straight into his campaign, thus committing campaign finance fraud.

About Trump’s GoFundMe For the Victims of Hurricane Helene

In a previous post I mentioned that Donald Trump had started a GoFundMe for the victims of Hurricane Helene. This is the same Donald Trump whose own Trump Foundation charity was closed down after it was revealed that Trump had used the money that was originally raised to help veterans for his own personal expenses, which is why Trump's GoFundMe raised a lot of suspicions on how much of the money will end up in Trump's pocket instead of going towards the hurricane victims. Apparently there are some more shady stuff surrounding this particular GoFundMe that you can read about right here.

Trump’s Most Recent Rally Goes Bizarre

There have been concerns about Donald Trump's cognitive decline for quite some time. His late father had dementia and these things can run in families. In addition there are the frequent rumors that Trump had been abusing Adderall and other stimulants for decades and the speculation that he is a narcissist at best and a malignant narcissist at worst—which definitely does not help his cognitive issues. While sometimes you can hear these concerns in the mainstream media (such as from MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell) most of them have come from social media and independent non-corporate media outlets. One such evidence of Trump's cognitive decline has come from last weekend's rally in Erie, Pennsylvania where he spoke at length about how he doesn't believe in paying overtime, how he blames Joe Biden for the small crowd sizes at his rallies, how actors in Hollywood couldn't play the roles of migrants charged with crimes, and his idea on how to get rid of theft-related crimes that sounds like it came straight out of the film The Purge. Trump's New Legal Problems

Special Council Jack Smith has filed new court documents that argues that Donald Trump resorted to crimes to overturn the 2020 election and he is not immune from prosecution. These documents were unsealed on Wednesday and they are a bombshell that could potentially endanger Trump's presidential campaign with only a month to go until the election. The Son of the Second Would-be Trump Assassin Has His Own Legal Problems

Just when you think that the family of the second attempted Trump assassin Ryan Routh have enough problems, they now have to deal with another family member who's also in trouble. Oran Routh, the son of Ryan Routh, has been charged with one count each of receipt and possession of child sex abuse material. What's more, Oran was arrested on the same day that his father Ryan was formally charged with the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. If they both get convicted maybe father and son can share the same jail cell together.

The Census is Cancelled in Russia

Russia has been experiencing a population decline for years and its ongoing invasion of Ukraine has only exacerbated this. Vladimir Putin's solution to the declining population problem is to sign a bill banning a national census of Russia for the next five years.

It means that no one will know the true population of Russia until 2029. And that's assuming that Putin or whoever succeeds him won't decide in 2028 to sign another law delaying the census count even further. The one advantage of not doing a census is that Russia can hide the true number of Russians who lost their lives fighting in Ukraine as well as those who left the country in order to avoid being sent to Ukraine.

Jill Stein and the Green Party are Tight With the GOP

A while ago I wrote about why the US Green Party is such a mess compared to the Green Party in other countries. If you've wondered whether it's your imagination that Jill Stein seems to be more critical of the Democrats than Republicans, you’re not imagining anything at all. She has been more critical of the Democrats and there's a reason for it. According to Salon.com, Stein has paid $100,000 to a Republican consulting firm that's led by a suspected January 6 rioter. What's more the GOP have been doing everything possible to get her name on the ballot and supporting her campaign in the hopes of diverting enough votes away from Kamala Harris so that Donald Trump will win next month.

Here's further evidence that, as a supposed leftist progressive, she's more sympathetic to the Republicans and the far-right in general (which proves the validity of the Horseshoe Theory). Jill Stein appeared on a MAGA podcast where she said that (if she somehow gets elected president) she would be open to pardoning all those who took part in the riot on the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021 while saying that it's been “blown up for political reasons.”

BLOWN UP FOR POLITICAL REASONS?!? What happened on January 6 wasn't just any old act of political expression. It was an act of outright treason. She is actually open to pardoning those who took part in a violent coup d'etat to overthrow the US government. There's a term people use for those who try to overthrow the government: Traitors. She wants to pardon traitors for attempting the violent overthrow of the government which, had it been successful, would have destroyed American democracy, the US Constitution, and even the United States of America as a nation. People like Jill Stein are why I previously wrote that the US Green Party is beyond salvageable because it has been infiltrated and influenced so much by both the Republican Party and Vladimir Putin.

While I am sympathetic with the Green Party in other countries, the US version is so seriously compromised that it just can't be reformed at all. At this point there should be a new progressive enviromentally-focused party formed completely from scratch that would be completely independent from all foreign authoritarian dictarors. The US Green Party deserves to be placed in the dustbin of history along with other failed political parties and movements.

The Oldest Living Former US President

Jimmy Carter turned 100 years old on October 1. He is not only the oldest living former US president but he is also the longest lived president and the longest retired president as well. With his wife Rosalyn Carter they became the longest-wed presidential couple and they remained together until Rosalyn's death in 2023 after 77 years of marriage.

Ever since he was voted out of office after one term in 1980 he kept himself busy with his volunteer work building homes for the homeless with Habitat for Humanity, establishing the Carter Center to promote and expand human rights, and made extensive travels to conduct peace negotiations, monitor elections, and further the eradication of infectious diseases. It's the complete polar opposite of how Donald Trump had conducted himself in the four years since he was voted out of office after one term.

Carter has slowed down a lot in recent years and he is currently dealing with an undisclosed terminal illness so he is now receiving hospice care in his own home in Plains, Georgia. He has indicated that he only wants to live long enough so he can vote for Kamala Harris in the upcoming election next month. Let's hope he gets his own way.

The Downside of Getting a TRUMP Tattoo on the Face

A couple of months ago I briefly wrote about a young woman who had this giant TRUMP name tattooed on her forehead where I wrote “What are the chances that this young woman will regret her new forehead Trump tattoo after November (especially if Trump loses)?” It turns out that the woman is already starting to regret her tattoo before Election Day, while complaining about the people who have made hostile remarks towards her. Ironically the woman with the forehead TRUMP tattoo can't even vote for Donald Trump because she is a British citizen who lives in the UK. It would be just like me, as a US citizen living in the DC area, getting a Keir Starmer tattoo on my face. (Although I would probably get less hate than her because Starmer isn't a hateful and destructive malignant narcissist like Trump is.) She is now using crowdfunding and even street begging to raise enough money so she can get her forehead tattoo removed. Here's a video about her.

The moral of this story is always think twice (or even three or four times or more) before making the final decision to get a face tattoo because having it removed later because you regret getting it can be expensive. And if you do decide to go for a face tattoo, make sure you have enough skills to make yourself self-employable (just like Teddy Boy Greg the barber) because you will have a very difficult time getting anyone else to hire you for any kind of job.

And Finally

This artist did a painting based on the famous photograph that was taken after Donald Trump's first assassination attempt. The only changes are that the surrounding Secret Service agents have been replaced with other presidents like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and a half-obscured figure located behind Trump that looked like it could be John F. Kennedy but I'm not 100% sure. The artist also added a bald eagle flying in the background.
