The Roundup
A new organization created by ex-MAGAs helps other MAGAs to leave the movement, Donald Trump is setting the stage for claiming that the voting in the upcoming election will be rigged, and more!
Today is Friday the 13th, which is supposed to bring bad luck or misfortune or something like that. Let's hope nothing really bad happens today (unless it involves someone like Vladimir Putin or Donald Trump or any other slimeball).
Get Your Free Tickets to the Next Donald Trump Rally Then Don't Show Up
There's a movement to snap up free tickets to the upcoming Donald Trump rally at the Nassau Veterans Coliseum in Uniondale, New York then not bothering with showing up. You can register up to two free tickets per mobile number for this event.
Donald Trump has been obsessed lately with the size of the attendance of his rallies so if enough people do this, it could hurt his ego. You can join in on the fun right here.
Cat Fight Between Two Loyal Trump Women
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and far-right so-called “journalist” Laura Loomer have long been a part of Donald Trump's inner circle and they are pro-Russia and pro-Putin. In fact, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Laura Loomer, and Donald Trump all have files about them on the Vatnik Soup website. In the aftermath of Trump's disastrous debate performance, the two of them have turned on each other in a spectacular and public way by hurling insults at each other on Twitter/X. It all started when Loomer flew with Trump on his private plane to the debate. Apparently she had encouraged Trump to talk about the debunked rumor about Haitian immigrants in Ohio eating pets.
Then Marjorie Taylor Greene scolded Loomer on Twitter/X for posting an “extremely racist” message about Kamala Harris. Loomer responded by accusing Greene of infidelity and behaving like a leftist. From there it became a free for all.
What's really funny about all this is that both women are fighting on behalf of a man who is a total misogynist. What's more, Trump's allies are worried about his association with Loomer, who has long promoted conspiracy theories and they are worried that she could derail his campaign. If all that weren’t enough, there are rumors circulating around on Twitter/X that Loomer and Trump are an item even though Trump is still married to Melania. Here's a sample tweet.
I haven't heard any confirmation about this alleged affair outside of Twitter/X but given Trump's history of infidelity, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. In any case, regardless of whether they are lovers or simply platonic allies, those two deserve each other.
The Tweet About Truth Social That Aged Very Poorly
Last week I mentioned that Truth Social's stock had sank down to $17 per share. Back in March Mike Crispi bragged about how he had liquidated his entire portfolio and had put it into DJT 0.00%↑ stock. (DJT is the stock initials for the parent company of Truth Social. It also happens to be the initials for Donald John Trump.) Crispi added “You didn't? Stay poor, liberals.” Brian Tyler Cohen retweeted Crispi's earlier tweet and added “He's now lost 74% of his portfolio value.”
Hey, Mike Crispi, if you're reading this, who's really poor now—you or the more fiscally conservative people who didn't sink huge loads of money into Truth Social right when it made its initial public offering on Wall Street when the stock prices were at their highest? 🤣
A Latin Language Donald Trump Sign For Latin Americans
Someone decided to create a sign targeting Latino voters urging people to vote for Donald Trump. This person apparently didn't know that people from Latin America mostly speak Spanish (with the major exception of the ones from Brazil, where Portuguese is spoken) so this person had the sign translated into Latin. As in the language that used to be spoken in the days of the Roman Empire thousands of years ago. This sign shows how you would convince a Latin speaker to vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming November election.
Help for Those Who Want to Leave the MAGA Movement
Do you have a friend or loved one who is deeply involved with Donald Trump's MAGA movement? The good news is that there is now help available from a new organization that has recently been formed. It's called Leaving MAGA and it was founded by former MAGA members so they know what's it's like to be so enthralled with that movement. The main purpose of Leaving MAGA is to encourage others to do the same and to foster reconciliations between the ex-MAGA and non-MAGA family and friends. You can learn more about Leaving MAGA right here.
More Fun With Taking on the Bots That Use ChatGPT
Here's the latest example of someone derailing a Kremlin bot using ChatGPT by asking that bot to write a poem about Donald Trump falling in love with Vladimir Putin. The result is hilarious.
Donald Trump is Preparing in Advance to Say That the Upcoming November Election Will Be Rigged Against Him
Last week I mentioned that Donald Trump finally admitted on a podcast that he lost the 2020 election by a whisker. However Trump has made this post on Truth Social where he is laying the groundwork for saying that there will be an attempt to steal the election and when he wins, those involved in rigging the election will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
It's also possible that if Trump loses, he might plan another violent event after the election that could rival the storming of the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021. This is a guy who should have been arrested and charged for his role in that riot months ago. This is also a convicted felon whom the Republicans are allowing to run under their party banner despite the fact that convicted felons can't vote. Those are two big reasons why this man should have never been permitted to run for office at all in 2024. The fact that prominent Republicans like former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter and former Representative Liz Cheney along with more than 200 alumni who have worked for Republicans like George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, and the late John McCain have all said that they going to vote for Kamala Harris says it all about how it’s a disaster for the Republican Party to allow Donald Trump to run for president.
Lawrence O'Donnell Slams The New York Times
Not too long ago I wrote about how The New York Times has become a pro-Trump and pro-Putin tankie vatnik publication. I came across this MSNBC rant slamming The New York Times for its favorable coverage of Donald Trump. Lawrence O'Donnell is one of the few mainstream media commentators who have openly questioned Donald Trump's cognitive health. Now he has turned his ire towards The New York Times, accusing the publication of “sane-washing” Trump's recent incoherent talk about childcare, which he somehow conflated with tariffs. It's definitely worth watching.
Elon Musk Doesn't Like to be Told to Stop Spreading Misinformation Online
A few days ago Elon Musk had not only permitted people to tweet about Haitians eating pets on Twitter/X—despite the fact that it's not even true—but he had even spread those tweets himself through retweeting and commenting on those posts. Here is how Musk has responded to a report that Australia wants to fine internet platforms up to 5% of their global revenue for failing to prevent the spread of so-called misinformation online with just one word: “Fascists.”
It's obvious that Elon Musk feels that Twitter/X should be a place where anything can be posted regardless of whether it's truthful or not, especially if it's from a far-right wing source. If someone tries to make him face the consequences for his actions then he calls that person a fascist. It all calls into question whether Twitter/X can even be trusted as a source for news anymore if the platform's owner is both tolerating and promoting disinformation. And then he wonders why advertisers are fleeing Twitter/X, why more and more regular users are bailing out on that platform, and why more people are deciding against buying a Tesla as their first or next electric car.
What's more, promoting outright lies online against a group of people have consequences in real life that affect a number of innocent people whose only crime is that they were born Haitians. There are now stories about Haitian immigrants having to deal with vandalism and threats because of this bogus story.
Taking on a Hater
Whenever I promote my newest post on this Substack using Substack Notes, I get the occasionally nasty response from a hater. I tend to ignore them because what they wrote isn't very memorable and they aren't really worth the time and effort for me to respond. But then I saw this response to a Substack Note I wrote promoting a post I wrote about the Donald Trump-Kamala Harris debate where I mentioned the fact that Donald Trump had actually spread that debunked right-wing hoax about Haitian immigrants eating pets in Ohio. TheRealRZEE wrote “Give it a week, the footage of pets being eaten will flood the internet but by then you'll be whining about some other bs.”
Like I'm going to take seriously the words of a person whose avatar of the four Progress Pride Rainbow Flags has been laid out in such a way that a swastika can be seen.
This yet another example how Donald Trump's Make America Great Again movement has embolden certain people to openly express their bigotry. There was a time when displaying the swastika was strongly discouraged in polite society but now some people feel that Donald Trump has given them permission to openly display it.
I look forward to the day that Kamala Harris becomes the 47th president of the United States and the swastika will once again be something whose display is strongly discouraged.
I also find it ironic that this particular swastika was created from the Progress Pride Flags since LGBTQ people under Nazi rule were sent to concentration camps where they were forced to wear pink triangles on their prison uniforms. (Which is how the pink triangle became so connected with the LGBTQ community.)
By the way, here's a fun fact: It’s illegal in a number of European countries (including Germany, the birthplace of Nazism) to openly display swastikas in public, including online.
