YouTube and Spotify dump pro-Putin artists, some social media platforms are deleting posts about Project 2025, President Joe Biden speaks out against Project 2025, and more!
This is what was going on in the news this week while people were focused on that clown show in Wisconsin known as the RNC Convention. 🤡
COVID-19 Strikes
President Joe Biden was diagnosed with COVID-19 this week. Hopefully he'll make a speedy recovery soon.
Did Tucker Carlson Really Pick Donald Trump's New Vice President?
According to this article in Vanity Fair, Tucker Carlson may have been influential in getting Donald Trump to pick J.D. Vance as his running mate. Carlson, who was in Australia at the time, had apparently called Trump:
Mr. Carlson told Mr. Trump in that June phone call that he believed that if he chose a “neocon” as his V.P.—an abbreviation for Republicans who favor using U.S. power to implant democracy abroad—then the U.S. intelligence agencies would have every incentive to assassinate Mr. Trump in order to get their preferred president.
Considering the fact that Carlson has become very close with people like Vladimir Putin, it makes you wonder if Putin was influential as well. After all, J.D. Vance has come out against the US giving any further aid to Ukraine.
You Can Now Buy Special Limited Edition Trump Assassination Sneakers
The one thing that Donald Trump has in common with Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford is that they were all either presidents or ex-presidents who had survived assassination attempts. But Trump is doing one thing that his predecessors never did: Try to make money off of his own assassination attempt. That's right, there are now official Trump assassination sneakers that can be yours for only $299 per pair.
In case you are dying to get your hands on a pair, here's the website that is selling them.
YouTube and Spotify Dump Pro-Putin Artists From Their Platform
Not too long ago Spotify decided to dump a number of pro-Putin artists ftom its platform. Subsequently a number of these same pro-Putin artists have also suddenly found themselves without their own YouTube channels when they were banned. These bans came soon after many of them were included in the 14th package of European Union sanctions against Russia for staging concerts in the Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine and participating in state-sponsored propaganda events. The affected artists include singers Polina Gagarina, Oleg Gazmanov, Grigory Leps, Yulia Chicherina, and actor Vyacheslav Manucharov.
The most notorious of the affected artists is the singer Shaman, whose pro-Putin Russian nationalist songs have become very big hits in Russia over the last few years, such as “Ya Russkiy” (which is translated as “I Am Russian”) and “Moy Boy” (which is translated in English as “My Fight” and in German as “Mein Kampf,” which also happens to be the title of a certain infamous book that was written by Adolf Hitler). Just a few months before his death, imprisoned Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny claimed that he was forced to listen to Shaman's “Ya Russkiy” song at 5 a.m. every morning. Shaman is also the favorite whipping boy of Roman, who has made numerous videos snarking about the music of Shaman on his YouTube channel NFKRZ.
Of course Roman has come out with a more recent video where he expresses glee over Shaman and his fellow Russian performers getting booted off of YouTube and Spotify.
The Heritage Foundation Could Be in Trouble With the IRS
The Heritage Foundation is the non-profit think tank that's behind Project 2025. The Heritage Foundation also happens to be a type of non-profit that's classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3). Basically a 501(c)(3) is exempted from paying taxes as long as it does not engage in partisan politics and endorse a specific candidate.
Some people have made TikTok videos saying that The Heritage Foundation have violated the IRS rules regarding 501(c)(3) organizations for publishing Project 2025 along with engaging in political activity and have provided steps on how to report this to the IRS. The Daily Kos has also posted steps on how you can report The Heritage Foundation to the IRS.
More Voices Against Project 2025
President Joe Biden is the latest public person to come out against Project 2025. He should be doing this because it was created to help Donald Trump implement his own brand of authoritarian dictatorship should Trump win the election. Hopefully President Biden will frequently try to connect Donald Trump with Project 2025 until the election in November.
Meanwhile Stephen Colbert has come out with his own critique of Project 2025 that should make more people aware of it.
Some Social Media Platforms are Cracking Down on Posts About Project 2025
Apparently Meta, who owns Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp, is taking a dim view of posts regarding Project 2025. There are reports that Meta is taking down such posts on its own social media platforms. As this post on Threads states, Meta is taking down these posts for “misinformation,” regardless if the information in these posts is actually false or not. They have also taken down posts with direct quotes from the Project 2025 document itself.
And the complaints against Meta's censoring of Project 2025 posts are spreading to other platforms, such as Substack Notes.
Meta is reportedly using an extreme right wing source known as The Dispatch as their fact checker on the Project 2025 posts. Some Project 2025 posts already have this information attached saying that The Dispatch has found a particular post to have false information.
Here's information showing that The Dispatch was founded by right-wing luminaries like Jonah Goldberg, Stephen F. Hayes, and Toby Stock.
The main workaround to counter any of Meta's AI bots is to alter the spelling of Project 2025. This next post has a few ways that you can do this.
Of course the big mystery is why Meta is trying to suppress any mention of Project 2025. Is Mark Zuckerberg a secret fan of Project 2025 due to the very generous tax cuts that Meta would get under that program? Or is he simply afraid of Meta getting forcibly shut down if Donald Trump gets reelected for allowing people to post about Project 2025? After all, Donald Trump has threatened to send Mark Zuckerberg to prison if he is reelected.
Donald Trump is Caught Lying About Knowing Project 2025
Donald Trump has issued statements claiming that he knows nothing about Project 2025. Yet, despite his denial, 140 people who previously worked for Trump were involved in crafting that document. A clip from a speech that Donald Trump gave in 2022 not only proves that Trump knows all about Project 2025 but he has praised it. You can watch that clip as part of this video below.
Once again Mary Trump was proven correct when she wrote in her tell-all book about her Uncle Donald that her grandfather, Fred Trump, encouraged Donald to lie to get ahead.
A Class Act
When Donald Trump was president, he was impeached the first time for attempting to blackmail Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy into finding any kind of dirt on Joe Biden and his son Hunter in exchange for Ukraine receving weapons that the US had already promised to deliver. Despite that, President Zelenskyy has decided to not let any kind of anger or animosity prevent him from congratulating Donald Trump on getting the Republican nomination while also denouncing the attempted assassination on his life. President Zelenskyy definitely does not let any emotions prevent him from being civil towards Trump. Here is the tweet that he issued in its entirety.
The Latest Ukrainian Innovation
The ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine has forced the Ukrainians to be quickly innovative in an effort to repair the damages from the invasion. One example is that the war has left plenty of Ukrainians homeless because their homes were bombed by the Russians. Recently a Ukrainian startup has created the country’s first 3D printed house. The house took two days to fully print. This house was printed for a dead soldier's wife and children and they were given the keys for free. This technology makes it possible to build homes that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The picture of that house looks pretty cool.
