All About Project 2025

If Donald Trump wins the election in November, 2024, this is what you can look forward to in January, 2025

In a previous post on Christian Nationalism, I mentioned Project 2025 briefly. I decided to come up with a separate post because Donald Trump has said that if he is reelected, he will begin to implement this after Inauguration Day on January 20, 2025. It's important that you know about this before going to the polls on Election Day.

What is Project 2025?

It is a project of the Heritage Foundation, which seeks to radically overhaul the government starting in 2025. (Hence the name Project 2025.) If this implementation is successful, it will render the US Constitution totally worthless and destroy the rule of law. One example is to eradicate the separation of church and state and make Christian Nationalism the only officially recognized religious theology in the United States.

How can I find the document so I can read it for myself?

That document is over 900 pages long! I don't have the time to read it all. Are there any alternatives out there?

The Wikipedia has a synopsis of that document that shows the highlights. You can at least get a basic gist of what it's about.

Media Matters has its own guide to Project 2025 that you can take a look at.

Andra Watkins has her own Substack called How Project 2025 Will Ruin YOUR Life where she has been reading portions of the original document and devoting a post to a different aspect of Project 2025 that she explains in detail.

There's another Substack by Olliver Markus Malloy called Project 2025: A Trump Dictatorship that explains how Donald Trump could use Project 2025 to rule if he gets reelected.

I am aware of Project 2025 and I am horrified by it. I want to do something to defeat it now before the election. What can I do?

There is a website called Stop the Coup 2025, which is trying to increase awareness of Project 2025 among the general public. There is a page on the site where you can sign up to volunteer your time.

There is also a reporting tool that was developed in conjunction with How Project 2025 Will Ruin YOUR Life Substack, Stop the Coup 2025, and Democracy Labs where you can report any instances of Project 2025 already being implemented in your area (such as book bans and abortion bans). Is there a Russian connection?

There are reports that the Heritage Foundation is the most quoted DC think tank in the Russian media and that certain arguments from Heritage's research are frequently quoted on propaganda sites run by the Russian government and Putin's allies.

Who are the people responsible for Project 2025?

One such person is Johnny McEntee. He is a former Trump White House aide who is actively working to implement Project 2025 as soon as Donald Trump gets elected by identifying tougher pro-Trump lawyers who could serve in key posts at the US Department of Justice and other key agencies. Recently McEntee attracted controversy by making this TikTok video where he brags about giving homeless people what he called “fake Hollywood money” so they will get arrested when they attempt to spend that counterfeit money. He said that it's his way to clean up the community by getting the homeless off of the streets. The video included the caption, “Just a joke. Everyone calm down.” This video shows the character of the people responsible for Project 2025 and it's definitely not good.
