I'm seriously hoping that this coming Tuesday will be the end of Donald Trump's political career and his Make America Great Again movement. But nothing is really guaranteed since he still has his share of loyal followers. They are willing to stand by him, even when he does things that would've ended the career of any other politician, no matter which political party that politician belongs to. This weekend a video surfaced where Donald Trump seems to be mimicking a blow job with his microphone.
We can't rely on polls or someone's hopeful social media post saying that Kamala Harris will win. Now is NOT the time to give in to the temptation of sitting this one out or voting for a third party candidate because Kamala Harris has this election in the bag. I still remember the 2016 election where people said that Hillary Clinton was a guaranteed shoo-in to win that election so enough people had let their guards down by not voting or voting third party that Trump ended up winning. We should act as if Harris is at least 20 points behind Trump in the polls and turn out en masse by electing Harris by such huge numbers that it would be difficult to prove that the election was stolen.
So as a way to inspire you to take a stand against fascism at the ballot box, here are a few videos that you should check out.
In the late 1950s there was a TV series called Trackdown, which only aired for two seasons. It was a Western about a Texas Ranger named Hoby Gilman who pursued and arrested all kinds of criminals. Many of the episodes were inspired by real cases involving the Texas Rangers.
In 2016 someone discovered an episode from the first season called “The End of the World” where a con artist named Walter Trump arrived into town and used his natural gift of persuasion to convince the local town folks that a shower of meterorites was going to strike the entire world at midnight tonight and would destroy all life on it. Walter Trump convinced the locals in their town that they could only be saved from this world-ending event by building a wall around the town and buying one or more of Trump's products of dubious quality that all have a high price tag. Just like what would happen over 65 years after that episode originally aired on TV, Walter Trump managed to convince a huge number of locals to trust him that everything will be okay if they do whatever he tells them to do, including forking over a huge amount of their savings to him. He also threatened to sue anyone who challenged him.
Here's the 1958 episode of Trackdown titled “The End of the World.”
Like Walter Trump on that show, Donald Trump has long been a huckster and a showman who'll do anything to get both money and attention. There are the numerous ads he made over the years hawking various products—both for other companies and his own side hustles, such as these.
There is even this interesting Pizza Hut ad featuring Donald Trump and his late first ex-wife Ivana Trump, which was made after their divorce.
The Daily Show had this comparison between the speeches of Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler that is incredibly chilling to watch.
And then there are a couple of videos that I found that are considered to be pretty surreal. Back in 2018 filmmaker Michael Moore was about to release his documentary about the 2016 presidential election that brought Donald Trump to the White House called Fahrenheit 11/9. He released this promo ad that showed the one time that Donald Trump and Michael Moore actually appeared on the same talk show together and it was hosted by Roseanne Barr.
I never knew that Roseanne Barr had a talk show until I saw that preview and, after doing some brief online research, I found out that she actually had a daytime talk show. It was called The Roseanne Show, it began soon after her 1990s long-running primetime comedy series Roseanne had ended, and it only lasted for two years from 1998-2000.
I actually saw Fahrenheit 11/9 in the theaters (which turned out to be the last documentary that Moore has worked on—apparently it didn't do too well at the box office even though I thought that it was just as good as his previous documentaries).
UPDATE: After I uploaded this post I found out that Michael Moore is currently streaming his Fahrenheit 11/9 movie for free online until November 5. You can find out the details on how you can watch this movie for free right here.
That documentary showed the same excerpt from that talk show except Michael Moore expanded on it by mentioning that he originally wanted to debate Donald Trump about class and economic-related issues like the increasing income inequality and how top corporate executives were being paid outrageous bonuses while they would frequently lay off workers or even close their businesses down entirely. But the producers of Roseanne’s talk show wouldn’t allow it because they felt that the topic was inappropriate for a daytime talk show while feeling that such a heavy topic would be a turnoff to the show’s target audience of housewives and retired people.
After seeing Fahrenheit 11/9 I found a full episode of the show on YouTube. That episode, known as Episode #1.48, was originally aired on November 19, 1998. Watching that episode seemed like watching an artifact from a different time back when Donald Trump was known as simply a celebrity businessman who literally went bankrupt. (His comeback on the reality TV show The Apprentice wouldn’t begin airing for another six years.) It was also at a time when Roseanne Barr seemed like a functioning adult before she went off the deep end as a supporter of Donald Trump and a promoter of the conspiracy theories of QAnon.
Only Michael Moore has seemed to emerge from that encounter relatively unscathed, even if he keeps on claiming that the working class that he is in touch with are more concerned about the war in Gaza than with anything else. Personally I hear more people in my area (Baltimore-Washington, DC) who are more worried about Project 2025 and how much of it Trump will implement if he wins the election on Tuesday. There are even parts of Project 2025 that will have a negative impact on the working class that Moore claims to champion (such as the severe cutback on overtime and the abolition of unions). Michael Moore has focused his attention so much on Gaza that other celebrities like Taraji P. Henson are the ones who have ended up sounding the alarm on the dangers of Project 2025 while The Lincoln Project have made a series of videos on what America could be like under Project 2025.
Getting back to that episode of Roseanne Barr's talk show that's now available on YouTube, apparently it was part of a special week of episodes where Roseanne Barr held her talk show in New York City's famous Tavern on the Green restaurant (which is located in Central Park). The episode begins with the first guest, Virginia Graham, who was an early television talk show host (her show, Food for Thought, began in 1953 and it lasted four years) who died a month after this episode aired. It continues with this cringe-inducing fashion show that took place in the restaurant where Roseanne Barr complained about how skinny the models were and she was trying to pressure one to eat a donut. If you wish to skip that segment, Donald Trump appears at the 11:34 mark. At the time he was trying to emerge from bankruptcy (his hit reality TV show The Apprentice wouldn’t begin for another six years) and he was separated from his second wife Marla Maples. He bragged about how much of a success he is now due to his hard work and Roseanne Barr didn't ask any tough questions, which is largely due to the fact that she started in comedy, not journalism. Michael Moore joins both Barr and Trump at the 29:16 mark. It starts with that conversation that was featured in that Fahrenheit 11/9 movie. It also included Roseanne Barr telling Donald Trump that he should run for president. It may have sounded funny at the time but it now sounds creepy. Trump leaves the show after the 37 minute mark. Michael Moore and Roseanne Barr ended the show by talking about their own working class backgrounds, which was probably the best part of that episode. So, without further ado, here is the episode.
I'll end this post with some words of wisdom from former professional wrestler Mick Foley on why it's important to vote against Trump on Election Day.

A personal observation, Michael Moore has lost much of his working class bona-fide over the years.
