Why People Need to Stop Interviewing Roger Waters
He went off the political deep end again on Piers Morgan's show
This interview Roger Waters gave to Piers Morgan explains why there is an entry about him on the Vatnik Soup website. It also explains why Waters’ former Pink Floyd bandmate David Gilmour has said that Waters’ frequent siding with authoritarian dictators is the main reason why he has vowed to never work with Waters again. Roger Waters has so many bad takes on Iran and Venezuela that it's not even funny.
I've long found it annoying that for years Roger Waters has spoken about how horrible the United States is and how great Russia, Iran, and Venezuela are but do you know where he lives most of the time? It's not in Russia, Iran, or Venezuela but in the United States of America. He also has toured far more extensively in the US than in Russia, Iran, or Venezuela.
It's a shame that he's this way now because I grew up as a Pink Floyd fan. I own many of their music on CDs. I've watched the film Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii numerous times. I am mildly disappointed that the one time I actually saw Pink Floyd live in concert was in the 1990s when Roger Waters had long since left the band. But if Roger Waters really prefers living under authoritarian rule, he should just move to an authoritarian country. Yes, I know that Donald Trump has been getting more authoritarian by the day here in the US but Waters has indicated how much he detests Trump so maybe he should try moving to Russia or China or Cuba or even North Korea instead. Roger Waters is wealthy enough that he can afford to move.
