Georgetown University Building Defaced With Graffiti Related to the War in Gaza

I've said it before and I’ll say it again: Engaging in graffiti and other forms of property destruction on behalf of the Palestinians living in Gaza only hurts the cause and does absolutely nothing to help the affected Palestinians. Yet these Western pro-Palestinian activists keep on doing it anyway. The latest building that got hit this week was on the Georgetown University campus in Washington, DC.

Ironically the affected building, known as the Rafik B. Hariri Building, was named after the former prime minister of Lebanon who was assassinated by a Hezbollah suicide bomber in 2005.

That incident brings to mind this tweet I found on Twitter/X by Mikel Jollet where he tweeted “If you are a one issue voter and your one issue is Gaza and on that one issue you're going to help elect the candidate (Trump) who is undoubtedly going to make things much worse for innocent people in Gaza, then your one issue is that you're a selfish, performative dipshit.”

A Key Figure in the October 7 Terrorist Attack Has Been Killed in Gaza

Hamas supporters all over the world are in mourning over the death of Yahya Sinwar, who was believed to be a key figure in the October 7 terrorist attack in Israel last year. Here are some of the details of Sinwar's death.

I can easily imagine Vladimir Putin being sad since those attacks happened to coincide with his birthday. The Gen-Z Lord Haw-Haw himself Jackson Hinkle has been putting up sad tweets on his Twitter/X account mourning the loss like this one: “Yahya Sinwar was a man of the people.”

A tweet that better expresses what kind of man Sinwar really was is this poem that was tweeted by Amjad Taha:

From the head to the knee,
Yahya Sinwar's gone like a flea.
Don't bury him, throw him in the sea,
For Gaza, Lebanon, and Israel cheer with glee.
The despicable terrorist meets his hurt,
Not a single Muslim or Arab mourns this dirt.

Nazis Participate in a Pro-Trump Boat Parade

Last Sunday Donald Trump's son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Lara Trump, thought it would be a really cool idea to hold a pro-Donald Trump boat parade near Palm Beach, Florida. Among the boat parade participants were a group of literal Nazis who were wearing swastika t-shirts and flying Nazi flags alongside the “Trump Make America Great Again” flags.

Jimmy Carter Votes For Kamala Harris

A few weeks ago Jimmy Carter turned 100 years old, which makes him the oldest living former US president, the longest lived president, and the longest retired president. His one wish was to remain alive long enough so he could vote for Kamala Harris for president. Thanks to the start of early voting in Georgia this week, Jimmy Carter was able to do just that.

An Apology for The Apprentice Reality TV Show

As most of you may know, Donald Trump's reputation for being a savvy businessman was on the rocks for a few years due to the first of his multiple bankruptcies in the early 1990s. He managed to redeem his reputation when he began to host the hit reality TV show The Apprentice and its later spin-off The Celebrity Apprentice. John D. Miller, who is NBC's former chief marketer, wrote this piece for USA Today where he admits his regret for his role in making Donald Trump out to be a more successful businessman than he actually was in real life. Miller admits that he helped to sell a fantasy version of Donald Trump that Trump was able to use to catapult himself into the White House and he still uses it to remain the leader of the Republican Party who is now running for reelection.

Donald Trump Weighs In on The Apprentice Movie

A few days ago I saw The Apprentice and I wrote my own review of that movie. Recently on Truth Social Donald Trump wrote his own review of that movie, even though he hasn't revealed whether he saw the movie himself like I did. Not surprisingly it's a negative review that's full of self-pity:

“A FAKE and CLASSLESS Movie written about me, called The Apprentice (Do they even have the right to use that name without approval?), will hopefully “bomb.” It's a cheap, defamatory, and politically disgusting hatchet job, put out right before the 2024 Presidential Election, to try and hurt the Greatest Political Movement in the History of our Country, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” My former wife, Ivana, was a kind and wonderful person, and I had a great relationship with her until the day she died. The writer of this pile of garbage, Gabe Sherman, a lowlife and talentless hack, who has long been widely discredited, knew that, but chose to ignore it. So sad that HUMAN SCUM, like the people involved in this hopefully unsuccessful enterprise, are allowed to say and do whatever they want in order to hurt a Political Movement, which is far bigger than any of us. MAGA2024!”

The movie's two stars are worried that Trump's harsh criticism could ignite violence at theaters across the US. Jeremy Strong, who played Trump's lawyer Roy Cohn in the film, had said that the film’s writer, Gabe Sherman, was barraged with all kinds of threats, including death threats and antisemitic hate.

If I was the one who is responsible for doing publicity on that movie, I would update it to include excerpts from Trump's Truth Social post in print ads while daring people to see it for themselves. Donald Trump's harsh review could get more people interested in seeing it.

Donald Trump's Upcoming Rally in Madison Square Garden

Donald Trump will soon come back to his native New York City to hold a rally at Madison Square Garden. Given Trump's increasingly fascist and Nazi overtones, some people have compared this upcoming rally with an earlier pro-Nazi rally that was also held at Madison Square Garden back in 1939.

Some anti-Trump Republicans like Rick Wilson and George Conway are trying to encourage people to sign up for free tickets to this event—then don't show up.

Stormy Daniels Goes on a Comedy Tour

Stormy Daniels is the porn star whom Donald Trump had a brief fling with while his wife Melania was recovering from giving birth to their son Barron. In 2016 Trump had paid Daniels money to keep quiet about their affair prior to the 2016 presidential election, which later led to his hush money trial in New York where he became a convicted felon. Recently Daniels recorded a phone conversation with one of Trump's lawyers offering to bribe her again in exchange for keeping quiet again about their brief affair before this year's election. MSNBC's Rachel Maddow broke that story, which I mentioned yesterday.

Stormy Daniels is currently embarking on a comedy tour and, according to her, her efforts to promote her upcoming dates on Twitter/X are being throttled. In a way it's no big surprise since current owner Elon Musk is a very big Trump supporter and it sounds like retaliation for letting Rachel Maddow know about this latest attempt to silence her. Here is her message asking for help: “Repost and help me beat Tiny's attempt to silence me (again) because of shadow banning! Selling out these shows appears to really have scared some people.”

She included some promo graphics for her upcoming shows. This one is for the October 21 show at the City Winery in New York City.

A Reminder From The Lincoln Project

One of Donald Trump's criminal charges concerns the fact that he took classified documents from the White House to Mar-a-Lago when he left office and refused to give them back. On top of it, Trump, as a private citizen, has called Vladimir Putin at least seven times. This latest video from The Lincoln Project is a reminder that Donald Trump does not have America's interests at heart.

A Former KKK Leader Endorses Jill Stein

When I wrote my piece on why the Green Party is so incredibly screwed up, I cited the close relationship between Russia and the US Greens. Even I could have never predicted the fact that Jill Stein has received the most unlikely endorsement from David Duke, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan.

That endorsement seems jarring when you consider the fact that the Greens are supposed to be a progressive party who believe in equality for all while the KKK has a history of racism and antisemitism and they have engaged in terrorism.

But, then again, maybe not. Dave Troy tweeted “When you know that David Duke is the protégé of Willis Carto, a noted third-positionist and holocaust denier, and aligned with [Russian political philosopher and Vladimir Putin crony] Aleksandr Dugin’s philosophies, it makes total sense Duke would back Putin-aligned Jill Stein. Pure logic.”

Of course it drew up all kinds of drama on Twitter/X complete with tweets welcoming the endorsement from pro-Palestinian people, such as this one from hiprincesslayla tweeting “I’m not surprised he endorsed Jill Stein. You should listen to David Duke’s podcast, he’s actually very reasonable and intelligent especially on Palestinian history.” That tweet was retweeted by Drew Pavlou who added his own commentary, “Wake up babe the pro-Palestine watermelon emoji people are now endorsing KKK leader David Duke.”

Finally Jill Stein weighed in on the David Duke endorsement by tweeting “A racist troll has ‘endorsed’ our campaign to draw attention to himself, and certain smear merchants are happy to platform this troll to attack us. Of course I reject any ‘endorsement’ from a white supremacist like David Duke, unlike Kamala Harris who can’t stop bragging about her endorsement from white supremacist mass murderer Dick Cheney.”

Stein’s rejection of Duke’s endorsement along with a snarky swipe at Kamala Harris regarding the endorsement from Dick Cheney led to others bringing up this old tweet she made way back in 2016 when Hillary Clinton rejected the endorsement from far right-wing billionaire businessman Charles Koch. Stein tweeted “Just because Hillary disavows Charles Koch’s ‘endorsement’ doesn’t mean it isn’t concerning or that she didn’t earn it.”

Now Stein’s past words are being thrown back in her face online and it’s a hilarious thing to see, such as this one from KnowaWasTaken: “Don’t move the goal post now, Dr. Jill Stein. Just because you ‘disavow’ David Duke’s endorsement, doesn’t mean it isn’t concerning or you didn’t earn it.”

Even if she does reject David Duke's endorsement, the fact that Jill Stein has refused to distance herself from Vladimir Putin or even renounce the time that she had dinner with him in Moscow and the fact that she has hired a Republican consulting firm that's led by a January 6 rioter should be enough to not vote for the US Green Party. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the US Green Party is so messed up that it’s beyond reforming at this point. It is way too closely aligned with Vladimir Putin and the MAGA wing of the Republican Party to be a functioning independent party. The US Green Party needs to be placed in the dustbin of history along with other failed political parties and movements like the Know Nothings and the Whigs.

The Upcoming Election in Georgia

Before the US election the nation of Georgia will be having its own election in just two weeks. The Georgians hope to vote out the pro-Putin Georgian Dream party and make a stand for democracy. Over 3,000 observers are set to monitor while nearly 100,000 emigrants are registered to vote.

Having both Georgia and the US reject fascism at the ballot box so close together would be a wonderful way to end 2024.
