Ukraine Takes Russian Territory
In a case of turning tables, this week Ukraine has managed to capture the Russian area of Kursk, which is located next to the northern border of Ukraine.
You could easily say that it's payback for Russia annexing Crimea and the Donbass region and for launching its invasion of the rest of Ukraine.
A Prediction From 1989 About the First Woman US President
In 1989 former president Gerald Ford gave a speech and he took questions from the audience. A little girl asked him if there will ever be a woman president. Ford basically said that it was possible and he gave a mostly accurate prediction as to how it could happen, which is fascinating to listen to.
Kamala Harris Now Has a Running Mate
For the past several weeks people have been speculating online about who she will pick and many of them had their favorites whom they hoped that she would pick. I stayed out of that fracas because I decided to trust that she would make the right decision. She picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and, based on everything I read about him, I think she had chosen well. Tim Walz is definitely less of a train wreck than J.D. Vance. At least you won't hear Walz complain about childless cat ladies somehow being un-American.
Strange Photo of the Week
Former UN weapons inspector-turned-pro-Russian propagandist and convicted pedophile Scott Ritter tweeted this photo of himself next to independent US presidential candidate and fellow pro-Russian sympathizer Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. with the caption “Burgers with Bobby!”
This photo may seem normal enough but it was posted just days after Kennedy's bizarre confession about his misadventure with a dead bear cub. At a press conference this week, when he was asked about his original intent to eat that roadkill bear cub, Kennedy mentioned that he has a freezer full of roadkill meat at his home. (I wonder if that brain worm that ate a portion of his brain before it died was caused by consuming roadkill.) Since Kennedy said that his freezer is loaded with roadkill, it makes one wonder what kind of meat was used in those burgers that Kennedy and Ritter ate together. (LOL!)
What's more, this photo was also posted just a few hours before the FBI conducted a raid on Ritter's home. The FBI has refused to explain why they did this but Ritter claims that it's about the US government having accused him of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act. This raid has come on the heels of the US government seizing Ritter's passport just a few months ago when he attempted to attend a conference in Russia. Ritter has claimed that his passport was seized because of his public pro-Russia stance.
Given Ritter's previous pedophile conviction, one can't discount the possibility that he may have reoffended once again.
Donald Trump Reaches Out to the Youth Vote and Gets a Free Tesla Cybertruck
Donald Trump made an attempt to appeal more to the youth vote by appearing on a streaming show hosted by a far-right streamer named Adin Ross, who has previously promoted white nationalists like Nick Fuentes. As a thank you to the former president and convicted felon for appearing on his show, Ross decided to give the self-described billionaire Trump a free present—a specially decorated Tesla Cybertruck that has an image of Trump raising his fist after that unsuccessful assassination attempt on him.
Then Trump and Ross did this incredibly dorky dance that was supposed to impress the youth. This video has footage from that hilariously bad dance.
Trump later said that it was his teenage son Barron who convinced him to do the interview with Adin Ross because Barron is a “friend” and “big fan” of Adin's.
Donald Trump's Latest Speech
Yesterday Trump gave a speech at his Mar-a-Lago estate where he spoke about his vision of a very dystopian future where everything bad that could possibly happen is happening right now and it's all because of the fact that he's not in office. One example: Russia would never have invaded Ukraine if he was still in office. He gave a rambling speech that included such topics as other countries sending their mentally ill people to the US, the presidency was taken away from Joe Biden, the US will fail if Kamala Harris gets elected, the US is on the throes of a depression, and all other kinds of word salad that can be hard to follow at times. He also expressed anger if a reporter asked him a question that he doesn't like. I only lasted 10 minutes with that speech. This video has the highlights from that speech.
You can watch the speech in its entirety below—if you dare.
The Aftermath of the Recent Venezuela Election
The election aftermath has become so intense that the opposition has called on the Venezuelan military to intervene but they have refused. This tweet contains a list on how Nicolás Maduro has cracked down on the opposition since he declared himself the winner in the recent election that has been widely accused of fraud. The list includes the creation of two re-education camps for political prisoners, mass arrests of 2,000 people, the creation of an online system where you can snitch on your neighbor, installing police checkpoints where they can take your phone and check your social media activity, and firing government employees on suspicion that they voted for the opposition.
Meanwhile the hacktivist group Anonymous is busy with trying to hack into and take down Venezuelan government websites.
Here's a recent Lincoln Project ad explaining how Donald Trump's refusal to accept defeat in the 2020 election has paved the way for Nicolás Maduro to do the same in Venezuela.
J.D. Vance on Ukraine
It has long been mentioned that J.D. Vance is just as enthralled with Vladimir Putin as Donald Trump. In a series of leaked text messages, Vance bragged about how, as a US senator, he refused to take any calls from Ukraine, including ones from senior officials. He has previously said that he does not support Ukraine so those texts aren't a major surprise.
J.D. Vance Endorses A Book That Uses the Language of Genocide
Donald Trump's running mate J.D. Vance is currently promoting a book that demonizes anyone who is liberal or even altruistic as the enemy. Critics say that it uses dehumanizing language towards a large group of people that is usually the first step in unleashing a genocide. You can read more about the book that Vance endorsed right here.
And Finally…
What are the chances that this young woman will regret her new forehead Trump tattoo after November (especially if Trump loses)?
