If you’re relatively new to the issues related to Kremlin propaganda and how it’s affecting other countries (including the United States), I recommend reading some background posts I wrote that explains things in more detail along with links to other sites where you can read more to educate yourself.
A few weeks ago I wrote about Jackson Hinkle, the onetime teen environmentalist/progressive Democrat politician/Bernie Sanders supporter who completely changed into a self-styled “MAGA Communist” who is constantly spewing whatever propaganda the Kremlin tells him to tweet on Twitter/X all from the comfort of his Miami home. I briefly mentioned that Hinkle has gotten into online fights with other right-wing people when the Israel-Hamas War started. I had screenshots of these interactions but I ended up linking to this article in Rolling Stone magazine instead because that post already had a lot of screenshots of his other antics and including them would've made that particular post even longer.
But lately it seems like Jackson Hinkle has taken to calling out one of the people he has fought with on a regular basis, even though it's obvious that this person is now ignoring him. It’s getting to the point where it’s becoming borderline obsessive. The person who is in Hinkle’s crosshairs is conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.
Before I get any further, I'd like to say that I'm no fan of Ben Shapiro. In fact, a few months ago I made this video where I criticized Shapiro's sudden jihad against an unlikely target–Barbie: The Movie. That's right, Ben Shapiro got his pants twisted over the fact that a major Hollywood studio had released a movie based on a fashion doll that Mattel has manufactured and distributed around the world on a continuous basis since 1959. Shapiro made a 43-minute video completely bashing Barbie: The Movie. Here's my nearly 10-minute video critiquing Shapiro's 43-minute video, which includes excerpts from the Shapiro video, along with a brief mention of an hour-long video that Shapiro released the following day where he bashed Barbie: The Movie even further.
If you feel the need to torture yourself, you can watch the original 43-minute video along with the hour-long followup.
And if that weren’t enough, Shapiro made further videos where he not only bashed Barbie: The Movie some more but he also denounced the fact that there is a future movie in the works that's based on another Mattel doll line, Polly Pockets. Shapiro has already decided that he hates the Polly Pockets movie even though that movie is currently in the very early pre-production stage and it probably won't be released until either 2025 or 2026. I made a short followup video where I made fun of Shapiro's bizarre obsession with both Barbie: The Movie and that yet-to-be-made Polly Pockets movie.

If you want to torture yourself even further, you can watch his other videos here, here, and here.
Shapiro went through great effort to convince people to boycott Barbie: The Movie but it all came to naught because Barbie: The Movie is one of the highest grossing films of 2023.
The one positive thing I can say about Ben Shapiro is that he sides with Ukraine, as stated in this long tweet, which proves the old saying that a stopped clock is correct twice a day.
The other positive thing I can say about Ben Shapiro is that he has denounced Hamas as terrorists and he favors Israel doing whatever is necessary to crush them. The only thing I question about his stance is that he shows plenty of concern about the unarmed Israelis who were victimized by Hamas but he has not once shown any concerns about the unarmed Palestinians who have been brutally hurt and killed as the Israeli forces search for Hamas. Not all Palestinians are members of Hamas nor are they all terrorists. I’ve come across accounts on Twitter/X from Palestinians who are angry and horrified at what Hamas did on October 7.
Since the October 7 terrorist attack Jackson Hinkle has been posting nonstop where he is openly promoting Hamas. He has consistently denied that Hamas has done terrorist actions like raping women and killing babies. It was the killing babies accusation that started the initial row between Shapiro and Hinkle as Shapiro shared a photo of the remains of a completely burned Israeli baby. Hinkle responded by saying that Shapiro is lying and he called Shapiro “twisted.”
Hinkle then put the photo that Shapiro shared through a website that confirms whether the image is genuine or is AI generated. Hinkle claimed that the website said that image that Shapiro shared is AI generated.
Shapiro responded “You are a liar. This was and is a lie.” The quoted tweet also includes Community Notes where it says that the photo is real.
Hinkle responded by stating that his tweet at Shapiro had gotten more views than Shapiro’s retort.
Then Hinkle began to taunt Shapiro by asking where are the 40 dead and beheaded babies.
Another person responded with the fact that Hinkle’s original claim that the image that Shapiro shared was labeled as AI generated but that same image was put through other online sites that determine whether it was AI generated or not and these sites said that the image is genuine. This resulted in Hinkle’s claim that Shapiro is distributing an AI image being slapped with a Community Note.
Since that time, Hinkle began to post messages taunting Shapiro.
Sometimes his taunts at Shapiro would get slapped with Community Notes.
Since then Ben Shapiro decided to move on and not bother with answering Jackson Hinkle’s tweets at him. But it seems like Jackson Hinkle hasn’t gotten the hint. Here’s what he tweeted at Ben Shapiro on November 6, 2023.
He tweeted some more on November 14-16, 2023.
He tweeted some more at Ben Shapiro between November 18-19, 2023.
Then he tweeted some more at Ben Shapiro between November 21-22, 2023.
You’d think by the end of November Jackson Hinkle would’ve figured out that Ben Shapiro isn’t interested in debating him anymore. But he decided to bait Shapiro some more when November gave way to December.
This week Jackson Hinkle really went after Ben Shapiro when Shapiro had supposedly mentioned online that a dead Palestinian baby was really a “plastic doll.”
As of this writing Ben Shapiro hasn’t responded to Hinkle’s latest round of attacks against him. As for the allegations that Shapiro claimed that a dead Palestinian baby was a plastic doll, I did a quick Google search and the only site I found that even mentioned that allegation is posted on a site that I've never heard of before called The People's Voice.
The stories posted on The People's Voice includes such things as the COVID-19 vaccine being deadly, NATO saying to prepare for bad news about Ukraine, references to Donald Trump as “President Trump” despite his defeat in the 2020 elections, and other stories that the mainstream media won't touch due to the concerns about the accuracy of these stories. Like I previously wrote, anyone with an Internet connection can put up a website using a free hosting site, purchase a domain name, and claim to be a news site. I haven't heard any mention in any mainstream news site about Ben Shapiro's claim of Hamas passing a doll off as a dead child. Of course that's not stopping Jackson Hinkle from further harassing Ben Shapiro despite Shapiro ignoring him.
Why is Jackson Hinkle so obsessed with Ben Shapiro? One possible reason is that he feels that attacking a star in the right-wing political commentary world will earn him attention in the form of clout. As he once confessed in this video:
“I did it for the clout. I do everything for the clout. You'll never see me doing something not for the clout. That's the only way I operate.”
Another possible reason is professional jealousy over the fact that Ben Shapiro is a bigger star than Hinkle. Recently Hinkle made this tweet where he claimed that he was correct in his predictions about Ukraine last year and he seemed to be bitter over the fact that no news show in the US has invited him to come on as a guest to discuss his prediction while claiming that other countries would love to have him come on their TV programs as their guest.
Whether you like Ben Shapiro or loathe Ben Shapiro, you can't deny that people are more likely to pay attention to Ben Shapiro than Jackson Hinkle. Let's face it, Hinkle has only been getting attention in recent months because Twitter/X owner Elon Musk has been amplifying his tweets so even people who don't follow him still get to see those tweets. (You generally have to mute and block Hinkle if you don't want his garbage flowing into your newsfeed.) If it weren't for Musk amplifying him, most people wouldn't even know who Jackson Hinkle is. If Twitter/X ever gets a new owner who is less likely to amplify certain people, Hinkle's popularity on Twitter/X would quickly sink. Meanwhile Ben Shapiro would remain famous because his fame doesn't rely on the whims of Elon Musk and he's not closely aligned with the Kremlin like Hinkle is.
Then there is the possibility that the reason why Hinkle is picking on Shapiro so much is because Shapiro is Jewish and Hinkle is not only pro-Hamas but also antisemitic. Hinkle has posted provocative graphics in the past, such as this one where the Israeli soldier is depicted with a giant hooked nose, which is a common antisemitic trope.
Other people have accused Jackson Hinkle of being antisemitic. Yoni Michanie of The Jerusalem Post has cited Hinkle’s denial of Hamas perpetrating the attacks on October 7 as a form of antisemitism that's akin to Holocaust denial. Yoseph Haddad posted on LinkedIn the reason why he feels that Hinkle is antisemitic. You can read other accusations that Jackson Hinkle is antisemitic here, here, and here.
Given Hinkle’s current obsession with getting into another online fight with Ben Shapiro, it’s highly likely that he will continue to waste his time trying to bait Shapiro into fighting with him only to get the silent treatment from Shapiro for the foreseeable future. The biggest irony about the Jackson Hinkle-Ben Shapiro feud is that, as of 2022, both The Ben Shapiro Show and The Dive With Jackson Hinkle shared the same sponsor: Birch Gold Group, a company that specializes in getting people to invest in gold, silver, and other precious metals.

I know it costs as much as a subscription to Twitter/X Blue but at least I have no connections with anyone even remotely connected to Vladimir Putin’s government. ;-)
