Today is Christmas and I have some cheerful news to share with you.
First is the news that Ukraine has decided to move its observance of Christmas from January 7 to December 25. They did it in order to further distance itself from Russia, which holds its Christmas observations on January 7.
Now I'm going to end this short post with a couple of videos that are perfect for both today and the theme of this blog. Each year The Late Show With Stephen Colbert has a tradition where it shows a satiric Christmas-themed animation on the episode that's broadcast on the date that's closest to Christmas Day. Last year they did this animation called “A Very Cold War Christmas,” which provides a very biting commentary on Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine.
This year the same show did “The Indict-Mare Before Christmas” and it's all about Donald Trump and his recent antics.
Both animations are worth watching back-to-back while you're chilling out today.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
My blog is free to subscribe but if you want to make a comment, you’ll need to take out a paid subscription, which only costs $8 per month. I know it costs as much as a subscription to Twitter/X Blue but at least I have no connections with anyone even remotely connected to Vladimir Putin’s government. ;-)
