Joe Biden Made a Strong Speech at the NATO Summit
The mainstream media could care less because they are still too focused on his debate performance
If you’re relatively new to the issues related to Kremlin propaganda and how it’s affecting other countries (including the United States), I recommend reading some background posts I wrote that explains things in more detail along with links to other sites where you can read more to educate yourself.
The mainstream media is so focused on doing everything possible to portray Joe Biden as being too senile to continue running for reelection that they have ignored the fact that Joe Biden gave a powerful speech at the opening of this week's NATO summit in Washington, DC.
Of course the mainstream media and other naysayers are still harping on Biden's debate performance so they could care less about Biden's more recent speech.
As someone who lives outside of Washington, DC, I've witnessed more than my share of all kinds of important events in my area over the years. But this year's NATO summit is poignant because, depending on the outcome of this year's election, it may or may not be the last time that Washington, DC ever holds a NATO summit. One of Donald Trump's ex-advisors has warned that Trump will have the US will withdraw from NATO. More recently Trump’s current advisors have envisioned a “radical reorientation” of NATO where the US would take a backseat in providing primary military power while negotiating with Vladimir Putin over how much Ukrainian territory that is currently under Russian occupation that Russia can keep permanently.
Today is the last day of the NATO summit and many of their meetings are closed to the general public. One of the most poignant moments of that summit came when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, First Lady Olena Zelenska, and other members of the Ukrainian delegation braved the current heatwave that is striking DC to visit the Holodomor Genocide Memorial to lay bouquets of wheat stalks at the base of the memorial. This memorial, which is located just a block or two from Union Station, is dedicated to the Holodomor, a man-made famine engineered by Joseph Stalin that resulted in millions of Ukrainians starving to death.
I've personally visited that memorial myself and found it very moving. I once even shot a video about it two years ago. It should give you an idea as to what this memorial looks like.
