If you’re relatively new to the issues related to Kremlin propaganda and how it’s affecting other countries (including the United States), I recommend reading some background posts I wrote that explains things in more detail along with links to other sites where you can read more to educate yourself.
It's not every day that I write two Substack posts in one day. But I stumbled upon a revelation that is circulating on Twitter/X and I really want to write about it. Plus tomorrow is the start of the MLK Day holiday weekend and I just want to take the long weekend off from Substack.
The Toronto Sun has done an expose revealing that many people are actually being paid to take part in the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in both Canada and the US, including the ones that are scheduled to take place during the King holiday weekend. A follow up article focuses on who has been funding these paid protesters in both Canada and the US.
The series include this choice quote:
A multi-millionaire tech mogul, Neville Roy Singham, has — along with his wife Jodie Evans — been bankrolling pro-Palestinian protests since last year. Their “People’s Forum” has organized multiple anti-Israel protests since Oct. 7 — including a number of efforts designed to “shut down” public and private sector offices. On Nov. 24, they posted on X: “Are you ready to disrupt business as usual? No celebrating in peace while genocide takes place!”
It gets even better. The couple mentioned in that Toronto Sun article was previously the subject of this New York Times story. Roy Singham is a tech billionaire. Jodie Evans is one of the co-founders of Code Pink, a longtime antiwar group that was originally founded when the George W. Bush Administration invaded Iraq. Both are also connected with China and they have long been accused of being propagandists for that nation.
The bad thing about these revelations is that it will turn off ordinary people from even learning about the displacement of the Palestinians in Gaza due to the relentless bombing by Israel. Why believe what that protester is telling you if he/she is being paid to protest? It not only marginalizes the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza but it also marginalizes genuine peace activists who are seriously concerned about what's going on in Gaza and who aren't being paid to peacefully protest.
I still wouldn't be surprised if these protests were also part of a planned psyop campaign that's designed to get voters to reelect Donald Trump as president.
My blog is free to subscribe but if you want to make a comment, you’ll need to take out a paid subscription, which only costs $8 per month. I know it costs as much as a subscription to Twitter/X Blue but at least I have no connections with anyone even remotely connected to Vladimir Putin’s government. ;-)
