If you’re relatively new to the issues related to Kremlin propaganda and how it’s affecting other countries (including the United States), I recommend reading some background posts I wrote that explains things in more detail along with links to other sites where you can read more to educate yourself.
The biggest craze in tech is artificial intelligence or AI for short. Many of the social media platforms and search engines have already latched on to AI while begging users to use AI to write posts or do creative works. YouTube and TikTok are now loaded with video tutorials on how you can use AI to create your own animations and music despite not having any training or experience. There are companies who are using AI to read resumes instead of hiring HR employees. You can use AI to write and proofread your resume instead of using a human resume expert. Many social media sites are using AI as moderators instead of hiring actual humans. There are artists who are so outraged over their work being mined from Instagram and DeviantArt to train AI that they have flocked to Cara, which is a new art-focused social media site that has banned AI.
AI does have its detractors, who say that the information that ChatGPT spits out isn't always accurate and it's the biggest overhyped tech trend since NFTs and the blockchain.
The detractors have a point: A few months ago someone used AI to create a Willie Wonka-themed event in Scotland that was such a disaster that it had earned its own Wikipedia page. Here's a brief video showing what happens when you rely too much on AI to create your event.
Despite that disaster in Scotland, people are still using AI because it's the hip trendy thing right now and they want to avoid the FOMO syndrome.
The Kremlin propagandists have latched on to the AI trend by using ChatGPT to create their troll posts on social media. It worked for a while until the whole thing began to malfunction, as hilariously detailed in this video.
That one troll tweet isn't an isolated incident. Here's a tweet I found last night which reveals that the user is not a human.
The Kremlin propagandists are clearly demonstrating the limits of relying too much on AI.
