Recreating the Tucker Carlson-Vladimir Putin Interview With Marshmallow Peeps
I recently did a creative project for a local event that I would normally share in my other blog, Sagittarius Dolly (which focuses on my arts, crafts, photography, and videography). I'm only writing about it here because it touches on a subject matter I previously mentioned in this Substack.
There's a local Peeps diorama contest where we can express ourselves using marshmallow Peeps, the sugary candy shaped like bunnies and chicks that comes out each Easter. I suddenly thought about that recent notorious Tucker Carlson interview with Vladimir Putin where it basically consisted of two hours of Putin giving a history lecture. In fact, that interview was so full of history that Russian pupils are now required to watch extracts of that interview then take a history quiz to test them on how much attention they paid to that interview.
Here are my pictures of that diorama, which I titled Peeper Carlson Interviews Vladimir Peepin.
I didn't enter this diorama in just one contest. There's another Peeps diorama contest that's sponsored by The Washington Post. All I had to do was to make this TikTok video about it and use the hashtag #PostPeeps2024. If I end up winning anything from that contest, I'll write a separate post about it.
If you happened to be in the Baltimore-DC area this weekend, you can see my diorama in person at:
Marley Station Mall
7900 Ritchie Highway
Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061
Once you arrive at the mall, enter through the doors that are located to the RIGHT of Gold’s Gym. (If you enter through the correct doors, you’ll be at the Center Court where the Easter Bunny’s area and Curmudgeon Books are located.) When you enter the mall, turn right and the contest area will be found in the fourth store on your right, next to Finish Line. The hours are:
Friday, March 22: 5-8 p.m.
Saturday, March 23: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Sunday, March 24: noon-5 p.m.
You will get a chance to vote for your favorite dioramas. The winners of the Peep-les Choice Award will be announced at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 24. For more details about this event, check out this link.
